Buying a Robot Vacuum That Mop
A robot vacuum can help you clean your floors more easily. This is especially relevant if you live in a home with hard floors and you want to reduce the amount of Swiffer pads you have to purchase or throw away.
Choose models that are simple to install and maintain. This includes charging and emptying the tank of water, taking out and replacing the pads for cleaning.
1. Object Avoidance
Robot vacuums are great in spotting obstacles large like furniture legs, walls, and pet toys, but they can miss smaller items that get carried around when cleaning. When we tested the robot it did a great job of avoiding obstacles that were large, but it was less adept at recognizing smaller things like sock balls or USB cords on the floor. Another important feature to consider is whether a mopping machine will automatically return its water tanks that are dirty to the dock to be cleaned and dried. The majority of the models we tested be able to do this, which can save you a step in your cleaning routine. It is important to remember to manually empty the dirt and cleaning solutions tanks and wash the pads that are reusable according to the instructions from the manufacturer between mopping sessions. This will prevent mildew or other unwanted bacteria from growing in the moist and dark area beneath the bot.
Many robot mops come with an app that allows you to alter the map of your home, customize cleaning areas and schedules, check the state of your cleans and connect other smart devices or voice-activated assistants for hands free control. The app also provides a way to see when your mopping robot needs maintenance, such as a filter change. Some of the most popular models have smart home integration, which allows you to link them to your smart lighting bulbs, doorbells, and other gadgets.
3. Water Level Adjustment

Be aware that no robot mop is perfect, and even the best mop will not be able to remove messy, greasy messes as clean as you can with manual mops or traditional Swiffer. They're ideal to clean up quick or for keeping stains from getting set, but they aren't a substitute for a thorough hand mop or deep-cleaning vacuum cleaner.
